Jay has been in the industry since 1999 and brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to his role as a Business Development Executive here at TitleSmart. Starting as a Loan Originator, he went on to manage a finance company branch before shifting to an Account Executive role with a lender. He has worked in title specifically for the past ten years working in Business Development, as well as having a hand in closings. This comprehensive background makes Jay a fantastic addition to the TitleSmart team, and he prides himself on the knowledge and relationships he has been able to develop over the years.
Jay describes himself as a people person and credits that skill for his success in relationship building. He always enjoys engaging in conversations and learning more about an individual. Being a great listener allows him to build relationships based on needs and wants. When asked about his favorite part of working in the title industry, Jay will tell you it’s all about the people:
“I like the people most of all. Forming new relationships is my passion. I like the fast-paced, ever-changing environment we have in our industry.”
In his free time, Jay likes to spend time with family, golf, and play hockey. Jay and his wife enjoy watching their daughter participate in sports: fastpitch, softball, and volleyball.
