Wow, can you believe it is already 2019?! With 2018 behind us (and what an amazing year it was!) I believe as a company we should choose to look forward into the year by reminding ourselves of the little things that make a BIG difference.
Towards the end of last year, I was reminded of a simple, yet important piece of advice that I whole heartily believe in: Do what you say you are going to do. Not only does that apply to your professional development, but should trickle into your personal life as well.
What’s your Resolution?
Most of us will choose to make another New Year’s resolution this year, but how are you going to actually make it stick? Are you prepared to do what you said you were going to do (even if it was just to yourself)? Goals and resolutions don’t have to be hard to accomplish if you actually stay the course and don’t stray from the path when times get hard.
Make a Plan
Having a goal is one thing, but have action items on how you will actually achieve that goal is a whole other ball of wax. Once you have identified your goal, write down what you need to do in order to achieve it… then do what you said you were going to do.
Tell a Friend
Goals are much easier to stick with when you have others holding you accountable. Find a friend or loved one that can help you realize your goals!
This year, choose to stick to your goals. If you do what you say you are going to do you will be amazed at the results!
