National Homeownership Month
Did you know that National Homeownership Month started off with the Clinton administration back in 1995? George W. Bush, in 2002, then proclaimed June to be National Homeownership Month.
When we ask our friends and family what their “American Dream” is, almost 9 times out of 10 their list includes owning a home at some point in their life. Many are extremely fortunate to be able to live out their “American Dream” and purchase a home in the community they want to be a part of when they are ready. Homeownership is a process and you want to make sure you have the right partners by your side including: your lender, your agent, and your title company.
Not only does homeownership feel good on a personal level, but it also helps our local economy grow and prosper. When looking at an existing median-priced home, it can create nearly $60,000 in economic activity, by some estimates. This doesn’t even include the job-creating potential when you build a home.
Join us in celebrating and encouraging homeownership this month. We are here to help educate and make your “American Dream” become a reality!
