TitleSmart sponsors Puppa mascot to support Spare Key and the “Hearts for Elizabeth” Fund
(Saint Paul, MN) A Minnesota based non-profit’s effort to keep its mission alive with a desperate 1,700 mile, 10-state, two-month raft trip down the Mississippi River will get a boost from an official mascot.
Spare Key, www.sparekey.org, is a Minnesota based non-profit that supports families facing a medical crisis through its www.HelpMeBounce.org platform.
‘Puppa The Sailor’ dog has been designated the official mascot of Hope On The River – a raft trip to rescue Spare Key and its mission to help families “Bounce and Not Break”.
TitleSmart, sponsor of ‘Puppa The Sailor’, is partnering with Spare Key during its Hope On The River fundraising event in providing ‘Puppa The Sailor’ merchandise to be sold at www.hopeontheriver.com
Cindy Koebele, CEO of TitleSmart, has authored two books that chronicle the real-life antics of her family’s Beagle, Puppa.
“We are excited to continue our strong support of Spare Key through the sponsorship of Puppa the Sailor to accompany Executive Director Erich Mische on his journey down the Mississippi River,” said Koebele. “Puppa’s curious nature fits perfectly with the adventure Erich is soon to embark upon as a way to raise money for Spare Key.”
A portion of the proceeds of the sale of Puppa plushies and associated merchandise will be placed in a restricted fund at Spare Key to support the “Hearts for Elizabeth” fund.
The fund is being created in honor of the memory of Elizabeth VanEyll, a former TitleSmart employee who passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer and will go to support the housing and housing related needs of families whose loved one is in the fight against breast cancer.
Puppa the Sailor and Puppa merchandise will soon be available for purchase at www.hopeontheriver.com.
Hope On The River is a 10-state, 1,700 mile, two-month solo raft journey. Erich Mische, Spare Key Executive Director, will drift down the Mississippi River on a homemade raft eating, living, and sleeping on-board a 7 ½’ x 12’ pilot house. COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on non-profits like Spare Key in the form of cancelled or postponed events as well as significantly diminished individual, corporate and community giving.
